[Chapter 1:] The Dream

Postby marven15 on Mon May 19, 2008 6:35 am

Riel was standing on the edge of the cliff, staring towards the sky. No thoughts linger in his mind. No thoughts of past, of present, and of future. He is an empty shell. As he continues to stare at the vast, black sky, a voice unknown to him is whispering inside his head. The mysterious voice is saying something to him, something that he didn't know. And like a sleeping man awoken by water splashing in his face, Riel snapped. Not knowing that he is standing in a critical spot, he lost his balance and found himself falling head first toward the deep and dark abyss.

Sharp, cold wind is cutting through his skin as he falls faster and faster into the dark abyss. He heard the voice once again. Every time he hears his voice, he tries to find the source of it.

"Look at me..."

"...look at me..."

"...LOOK... AT ME!!!"

As the last word is spoken, Riel finally saw the source, which is actually staring at his face. Though their face is at least 4 centimeters away from other, he can't see the face of the stranger. His face is shrouded with darkness. He started to speak once again.

"You know a lot but you know nothing. You seek something you don't have but you already have," The Stranger said.

"What are you saying?" Riel asked. His eyes show fear and curiosity at the same time.

"You will no nothing unless your eye sees something."

As the stranger says his last words, his body is slowly dispersing into a thousand black feathers.

"This is inevitable."

Knowing that the stranger is nowhere to be seen, Riel looked at the dark abyss. He can't see the ground. It's like a bottomless well. Afraid on what could happen to him, he just closed his eyes tight, very tight.

To be continued later.... You can criticize and suggest on this thread.
